My manager Rickard and I often discussed the mental aspects of racing and their significance, especially as one ascends the ranks to categories like Formula 3 and Formula 1. He generously shared his experiences from his racing days, highlighting how he tackled the mental challenges, which provided me with valuable insights. Yet, my curiosity drove me to seek further understanding. Achieving your absolute best on the racing track involves a substantial mental component, and at times I felt a crucial piece was missing. Thanks to Igor’s training, I’ve been able to identify that piece much more easily than before. I now feel I can focus more effectively and achieve my flow state. The initial phase of our training regimen has granted me better control over my emotions during competition, and I’ve also developed increased confidence and motivation in my work.

I wholeheartedly recommend Igor; he is both personable and professional. While I had some understanding of mental training before, I have learned an incredible amount through our collaboration, and I look forward to gaining even more knowledge in the future.

A direct and clear form of mental training, Igor can relate to and explain the causes of emotions in a straightforward manner. With the help of analogies and examples, you come to understand why you feel the way you do.

‘Strong on the Inside’ is a training program that offers positive effects in various contexts and is well-suited for personnel in the Armed Forces. In training: increase your learning ability through enhanced focus, with all awareness directed toward a single task. In operations: improve your ability to handle difficult situations by maintaining your focus and access to your intellect. Use the techniques to relax and recover better between missions. After operations: to feel better and manage experiences that give rise to strong emotions.

Policing conflict management, known as Polkon, is the training system for foundational, advanced, and supplementary education within the police force. It encompasses areas such as tactical, communicative, and mental competencies. Polkon is a recurring training programme designed to equip officers to handle a wide range of situations, from challenging and complex scenarios to everyday incidents. To enhance the knowledge of police trainers in the area of mental training related to these competencies, we have invited Igor Ardoris as a guest speaker for the NIK Polkon education course in Stockholm. Igor has demonstrated exceptional pedagogical skills in conveying the principles of mental training, and the immediate feedback from participants indicated that this was one of the best presentations they had experienced, as Igor not only imparted new knowledge but also provided practical tools for everyday application.

Sometimes, people ask me about my role as a mental coach, and I always respond by saying that I assist those I work with in learning how to lose. I often add that winning is something they can achieve on their own.
